The Xantrex Solar 708-0080 Remote Battery Temperature Sensor provides accurate battery temperature sensing and enables temperature-compensated charging with Xantrex Solar PWM and MPPT Charge Controllers.

The Remote Battery Temperature Sensor (BTS) allows the Xantrex 30A PWM Charge Controller, Xantrex 30A MPPT Charge Controller, and Xantrex 60A MPPT Charge Controller to automatically adjust the charging parameters for efficient charging of flooded lead-acid batteries. The charge controller will stop charging when the battery temperature is exceeded and will return to normal operation when the battery temperature cools down, thereby optimizing battery charging and extending battery life expectancy.

The Xantrex Solar Remote Battery Temperature Sensor is installed on the side of the battery and attaches to the BTS port of the Xantrex Solar PWM and MTTP Charge Controllers.
