The Samlex BBM-1225 Battery Backup Module is a solid-state, passive device that provides uninterrupted DC power when used with a power supply and a battery, allowing any 12 VDC or 24 VDC power supply to function as a Uninterrupted Power Source (UPS). The BBM-1225 also keeps the battery fully charged by providing a float charge.

The Samlex BBM-1225 acts as an interface between the power supply, the battery, and the DC load. As long as the power supply is operating normally, it will supply the load and float charge the battery. If the power supply fails, the battery will start feeding the load immediately thus ensuring uninterrupted DC power to the load. Once the power to the power supply is resumed it will take over the load and will begin recharging the battery with a float voltage.
