The ACR-160 Automatic Charge Isolator is a microprocessor controlled battery isolator that can be used in starter and auxiliary battery systems for a variety of applications including boats, RVs and service vans. The ACR-160 combines battery banks for charging and isolates them when charging has stopped. It provides priority for charging only the starter battery first and protects from excessive discharging of the starter battery, thus avoiding starting problems. The ACR-160 is also referred to as a battery separator, battery isolator or an automatic charging relay.

    • Start assist function during cranking by momentarily paralleling the two batteries for higher cranking amps
    • Forced disabling function of the relay during charging to isolate the starter battery when high power DC loads are being powered from the auxiliary battery
    • As a voltage dependent switch for automatic switching on of a load after vehicle has started and starter battery has fully charged
